Clyde Barrow never hid from anything. His defining characteristic wasn't danger — it was loyalty.

Absolute, catastrophic, till-the-end loyalty to the one person who had chosen him completely. He stepped into the open and wore everything on the outside — that much certainty in a character can tip into caricature if the craft underneath doesn't hold it, so every layer of graphite, the fur, the eyes, the set of his jaw, had to tell you who he was before the suit meant anything. Red is the only colour I allow into a graphite world. His is a fedora, a tie, and a pocket square, worn with the ease of someone who has never once questioned whether he belongs in the room.
